1600UV

The Motras Scientific 1600UV is a portable, rugged and full functional UV Visible CCD based spectrometer which can identify and quantify compounds based on molecular absorption.

The portable nature of the system, coupled with no mechanical movements results into an extremely rugged system. The device uses ultra-fast CCD array element which captures the entire spectrum in less than 0.1 seconds.

The above diagram shows the internals of the system. The light enters through a slit and is collected by a collimating mirror, received by the Grating and focused by a focusing mirror over the detector. Usage of special metal alloy with lowest thermal expansion coefficient allows stable results in huge temperature ranges
